Dr. Ritsuko Crabb, a proud graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, class of 1989, has retired after 33 years of helping people enjoy a higher quality of life. Her career as a chiropractor has been a major source of joy and inspiration, as she has had the privilege of seeing people whom she has helped live happier and healthier lives. Although her practice, Crabb Chiropractic Clinic, is now permanently closed as of September 30, 2022, she encourages all of her former patients to seek the services of another licensed chiropractor.
Background and Childhood
Dr. Crabb was born and spent her childhood in Yoshimatsu-cho, a small town in the Sendai River valley in northern Kagoshima Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. She grew up appreciating the value of both modern medicine and traditional herbal healing remedies. An annual event in her town was a visit from the traveling herbal apothecary, who would replenish their supply of healing herbs. Her childhood experiences sparked a fascination with the medical field, particularly with the idea of helping people live healthy lives.
Realizing a Childhood Dream
Years later, after moving to the Quad Cities due to her husband's transfer, Dr. Crabb learned about chiropractic and became intrigued by its philosophy, which was in concert with her core belief in the body's innate ability to heal itself. She enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in September 1989. As a student at Palmer College, she joined the intern program of the late Dr. J. Larry Troxell, an esteemed practitioner and teacher of the Gonstead method of Chiropractic. After graduation, Dr. Crabb continued to work with Dr. Troxell as an examination doctor and an associate chiropractor. In May 1991, she opened her own practice in Davenport.
A Rewarding Career
Over the years, Dr. Crabb has been dedicated to helping people live happier, healthier, and higher quality lives. While she has retired and closed her practice, she remains passionate about chiropractic and the positive impact it can have on people's lives. She encourages her former patients to continue seeking chiropractic care from another licensed chiropractor. For patients whom she has treated within the past six years, she is willing to provide information regarding their treatment at her practice if their current chiropractor sends a request via regular mail.
