Meet Our Doctors

Our practice is led by the esteemed Dr. Rob Cartwright and Dr. Yvonne Cartwright, both of whom are dedicated to providing exceptional chiropractic care to the Fairfield community. Dr. Rob Cartwright, a Cincinnati native, returned to his hometown in 1992 after two decades of traveling and practicing chiropractic care in various states. Dr. Yvonne Cartwright, a graduate of Life University in Marietta, Georgia, joined the practice in 2007 and has since been instrumental in expanding our range of services and treatments.

Comprehensive Chiropractic Services

At Cartwright Chiropractic and Wellness Center, we believe in taking a holistic approach to healthcare. Our services include:

  • Chiropractic Care: Our primary focus is on spinal alignment, which is essential for alleviating various physical ailments, such as muscle strain, neck pain, and chronic back pain. Dr. Rob, however, goes beyond spinal adjustments, also offering expert adjustments for other bones and joints in the body, including ankles, wrists, elbows, hands, and feet. These adjustments help alleviate issues such as knee pain, ankle pain, hand or foot numbness, headaches, and earaches, among others.
  • Acupuncture and Laser Therapy: Dr. Rob's expertise extends to acupuncture and laser therapy, which can help with stomach issues, vertigo and balance concerns, burns, bug bites, and pregnancy concerns such as breech presentation.
  • Natural and Alternative Medical Therapies: Our services also incorporate PEMF therapy, weight loss programs, infrared sauna, red-light and infrared therapy, and the Vertebral Subluxation Complex Spinal Wellness system, offering patients an extensive range of alternative treatments to complement their chiropractic care.

Our Mission and Approach

Our mission is to guide our patients towards optimal health gently and compassionately. Dr. Rob and Dr. Yvonne achieve this by offering a variety of healing modalities and customized treatment plans for each patient. With their shared belief that everyone deserves to live a pain-free and healthy life, they work diligently to ensure patients feel better upon leaving the office than when they arrived.

The History of Chiropractic Care

The term "Chiropractic" comes from the Greek words "cheir" (hand) and "praktos" (done), meaning "done by hand." This name was chosen by Daniel David Palmer, the developer of chiropractic care, who performed the first chiropractic adjustment in 1895, helping a partially deaf janitor regain his hearing. Since then, chiropractic professionals have utilized spinal adjustments to aid millions of people in preventing and managing back pain, carpal tunnel, muscle strain, headaches and migraines, and a plethora of other physical ailments.

Chiropractic Training and Education

Chiropractic doctors undergo rigorous training, completing a minimum of four years of study at an accredited chiropractic college, following an undergraduate degree. This training encompasses a minimum of 4,200 hours of classroom instruction and a minimum of 1,000 hours of fully supervised clinical experience, ensuring that these professionals are well-equipped to provide the highest level of care to their patients.
