At In Good Hands Chiropractic Center, we believe that most health issues, from headaches and back pain to asthma and digestive issues, can be traced back to stress in the spinal column. Alignment problems in the spine cause energy blockages and interference that make it harder for the brain to tell the body what needs to be done so it can heal itself and function properly. Our expert chiropractor, Dr. Allison Scharf, uses chiropractic care and other techniques to align the spine, helping you feel and function better.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to help adults and children overcome health issues, including chiropractic care, NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique) for food, chemical, and environmental allergies and sensitivities, and other techniques to address the root cause of your issue. Our services include:

Chiropractic Manipulation: Also called an adjustment, this technique involves painlessly manipulating or repositioning bones and muscles to improve function.

Flexion-Distraction: This type of therapy uses a specialized table to gently stretch and decompress joints in the lumbar spine and relieve lower back and leg pain.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation: Electrical currents are used to balance the positive and negative elements in the muscles. Electrical muscle stimulation also acts as an internal massage, causing the muscles to contract and relax.

Ultrasound: High-frequency sound waves create friction as sound waves bounce off tissue, creating a micro-massaging effect in the tissue.

Kinesiology Taping: This technique uses specialized tape to support and stabilize joints and muscles, improving function and relieving pain.

Our Story

Dr. Allison Scharf, DC, founded In Good Hands Chiropractic Center in Princeton in January of 2005. Her lifelong desire has been to help adults and children find relief from health issues without medication or surgery. Dr. Scharf's journey began when she was 12 years old, and she started having migraines due to a straight neck. After receiving chiropractic care, she stopped having migraines and hasn't had one since. This experience inspired her to become a chiropractor.

About Dr. Scharf

Dr. Allison Scharf earned a bachelor's degree in biology from SUNY-Binghamton and a second bachelor's degree in human anatomy from the National College of Chiropractic before graduating in 1993 with a Doctor of Chiropractic. She has continued her education and training in new chiropractic techniques and tools, including NAET for allergies and sensitivities. Dr. Scharf was voted "Best Chiropractor" in the Town Topics Readers' Choice Awards for 2018.
